The winners from all five regions around the state will be invited to a special luncheon
on Thursday August 29, 2019, where the state winner will be announced.

Submissions Close on Friday 5th July 2019.

How has the nominee shown commitment to raising his children? (max 200 words)
How has the nominee been an inspirational role-­‐model who, as a father, has triumphed over adversity? (max 200 words)
How has the nominee demonstrated a contribution to the development and well-­‐being of children in the community? (max 200 words)

You will receive an acknowledgement from our QFOTY Co-ordinator to confirm that your entry has been received.

The person you have nominated will also receive an email to advise them that they have been nominated and what is involved.

Regional winners will be announced in mid August. Regional winners will be invited to attend the Queensland Father of the Year luncheon on Thursday August 30, where the 2018 winner will be announced.

CELEBRATING FATHERHOOD

The aim of the award is to recognise the significant role fathers play in their children’s well-being and development and to raise awareness of the value of fathers in the family and the community.

It identifies and honours outstanding fathers for their exceptional commitment to raising their children or for their exemplary contribution to the development of children in the community.
